180kg Strength. Just 16kg to Lift.
The Converge 180 has been designed to solve one of the biggest problems with higher-capacity electric wheelchairs: lifting them.
Supporting users up to 180kg, the Converge 180 provides the strength and stability expected from a heavy-duty powerchair, but its clever split design means you don't have to lift the entire 29kg wheelchair in one piece.
Simply detach the rear motor section from the main frame and the lifting weight is reduced to just 16kg.
That makes loading the chair into a car boot, taking it away for the weekend or storing it at home considerably easier.
Heavy-duty when you need it. Lightweight when you lift it.
Split, Fold and Take It With You
The Converge 180 has been built around making travel easier.
The rear drive section quickly separates from the main wheelchair frame, immediately reducing the amount of weight you need to lift. The remaining frame can then be folded down into a compact shape, helping it fit more easily into a car boot.
Instead of trying to manoeuvre one large and heavy powerchair into your vehicle, you can transport the Converge 180 in lighter, more manageable sections.
It makes the chair particularly well suited to days out, holidays, visiting family or simply travelling further from home.
For customers who regularly depend on somebody else to lift their wheelchair into a vehicle, that 16kg split lifting weight can make a significant difference to everyday transport.
Dual 250W Sine Wave Brushless Motors
The Converge 180 is part of our Premium Brushless Series, powered by two 250W sine wave brushless motors.
The sine wave drive system is designed to deliver smooth, controlled power while maintaining a quieter and more refined driving feel.
With 500W of combined motor power, the Converge 180 delivers confident everyday performance while still maintaining the efficiency and smoothness that make brushless motors such an important part of our premium electric wheelchair range.
When the chair needs to be moved manually, the drive system can also be switched into freewheel mode.
Heavy-Duty 180kg User Capacity
Ultra lightweight portability doesn't have to mean compromising on user capacity.
The Converge 180 has a maximum user weight of 180kg, giving larger users access to a wheelchair that is both substantial enough for everyday support and practical enough to transport.
That's what makes the Converge 180 different.
Rather than simply making a heavy-duty wheelchair lighter, we've designed the chair so that the weight can be separated when it is time to lift it.
You get the strength of a 180kg capacity electric wheelchair while retaining a manageable 16kg lifting weight when split.
Adjustable Seating Width Up to 54cm
Comfort starts with having enough room.
The Converge 180 features adjustable armrests that allow the available seating space to be widened up to 54cm, helping the chair accommodate different body shapes and user preferences.
This gives you greater flexibility than a fixed-width seating setup and allows the chair to be adjusted to create a more comfortable amount of space around the user.
The armrests can also be raised when required, making side transfers easier and improving access when positioning the wheelchair alongside tables and other seating.
Height & Length Adjustable Footplate
Different users need different seating positions, particularly when it comes to leg length.
That's why the Converge 180 features a footplate that can be adjusted in both height and length.
The position can be altered to better suit shorter or taller users, helping create a more natural resting position for the legs and feet rather than forcing every user into the same fixed setup.
This additional adjustability works alongside the configurable seating system to make the Converge 180 suitable for a much wider variety of users.
The footplate can also be removed when required for transport or storage.
Adjustable Backrest for Added Comfort
Everyone has a different preferred seating position.
The Converge 180 features an adjustable backrest, allowing the seating angle to be changed depending on how you prefer to sit.
Stay more upright while driving or adjust the backrest into a more relaxed position when taking a break.
Combined with the adjustable armrests and configurable footplate, the backrest helps turn the Converge 180 into a powerchair that adapts around the user rather than forcing the user to adapt around the chair.
Two 6Ah Batteries – Up to 15 Miles Range
The Converge 180 uses two 24V 6Ah batteries, providing a combined 12Ah battery capacity and up to 15 miles of driving range.
That gives you the freedom to use the chair for longer days out, shopping trips, visits and everyday journeys without constantly thinking about your next charge.
Actual driving range will naturally vary depending on factors including user weight, terrain, inclines, weather conditions, driving speed, power settings and battery condition.
Combined with the chair's split-and-fold design, that range makes the Converge 180 particularly effective as a travel electric wheelchair – easy to transport when you're driving somewhere and capable of taking you further once you arrive.
Designed Around Travel
The Converge 180 isn't simply a folding electric wheelchair.
The entire design has been created to make travelling with a powerchair easier.
When it's time to drive, you have a comfortable, high-capacity electric wheelchair with dual sine wave brushless motors.
When it's time to load the chair into your vehicle, remove the rear motor section, fold the frame and reduce the main lifting weight to just 16kg.
That makes it an excellent choice for:
- Regular car journeys
- Days out
- Visiting friends and family
- Holidays and UK breaks
- Customers with smaller car boots
- Anyone who finds lifting a conventional powerchair difficult
The ability to separate the heaviest components means you can enjoy the capabilities of a substantial electric wheelchair without having to transport it like one.
Smooth, Simple Joystick Control
The Converge 180 uses an easy-to-operate joystick controller for smooth 360-degree directional control.
An integrated display keeps important driving information clearly visible, while dedicated controls allow you to adjust your speed and operate functions such as the horn and lighting.
The joystick position can also be configured for left- or right-handed users, helping the chair adapt around individual requirements.
Large Wheels for Everyday Versatility
With 12-inch rear wheels and 8-inch front wheels, the Converge 180 is designed to provide a stable and confident ride across everyday outdoor surfaces.
It is equally at home on pavements and shopping areas while remaining capable of tackling surfaces such as maintained grass, gravel paths and other uneven ground when driven appropriately.
The larger rear wheel setup also works with the powerful dual-motor drive system to provide the confidence needed for ramps and inclines.
Comfort That Adjusts Around You
A portable chair still needs to be comfortable enough to use throughout the day.
The Converge 180 combines supportive cushioning with an adjustable seating system that allows several areas of the chair to be tailored around the individual user.
You can:
- Adjust the backrest angle
- Increase the seating space up to 54cm
- Raise the armrests for easier transfers
- Adjust the footplate height
- Extend or shorten the footplate position
- Position the joystick for left- or right-handed use
Together, these features make the Converge 180 considerably more adaptable than a basic fixed-position folding electric wheelchair.
Why Choose the Converge 180?
Most portable powerchairs force you to prioritise either low lifting weight or high user capacity.
The Converge 180 is designed to deliver both.
It supports users weighing up to 180kg, yet its detachable rear motor design reduces the main section to only 16kg to lift.
Add dual 250W sine wave brushless motors, up to 15 miles of range, an adjustable seating width of up to 54cm, a height- and length-adjustable footplate and a folding frame, and you have an electric wheelchair designed to work just as well when you're travelling as it does when you're driving.
180kg Strength. 16kg Lift. Made to Travel.
That's the Converge 180.
