These are great, although they are quite far out once fitted. I bought these as my previous power chair had a single footrest and over time it bent down so that it would hit the slightest raised paving stones and throw me out of the chair. I thought these legs wouldn’t cause this problem, and they don’t. I only have short legs and if I use the calf supports I find it difficult to reach. I have emailed etech but haven’t heard back yet.
I love this chair, my previous chair was not very responsive and tended to slide on cambers and gravel, despite being sold as all terrain. I have no such problem with the Freedom Elite ST. It takes no effort to change direction. The only thing that I didn’t realise immediately, is that the front suspension is fastened down. So the ride was quite hard. Once I realised and adjusted it, the ride is much smoother. I would totally recommend this power chair for affordability, style and comfort.

I won a Freedom Pro and paid a bit extra to upgrade to a Freedom Elite for the brushless motor. I love that it came in purple! It was delivered the day after ordering and it was very easy to set up as it basically just needed to be unfolded and charged. All the wires were set up and were even tied to the chair to make sure they were in place. It comes with a remote, a mesh zipper bag under each arm rest, as well as tools for maintenance and a flashlight/USB attachment. I got the standard battery which is airline safe and it easily slides in and out. The chair is really comfortable and very easy to manoeuvre! Bumps are no problem.
Wife out learning control techniques and she has never drove anything before.She really loves it and gaining confidence.

My wife loves the electric chair we were able to go out for a stroll along the promenade for the first time in years, due to ill health I am no longer able to push a manual wheelchair, wish I had got an electric chair sooner, well worth the investment,Good company communication prompt delivery. excellent after service help line. As a permanent carer controlled chair I find the remote control difficult to get used too, it would be better to have carer control bracket on rear of seat as standard. Thank You.

I’ve had my new freedom elite ST for a week and have used it three times so far, one short trip and two longer ones. Still getting use to it’s manoeuvrability as it’s a little different to one I’ve used before but on the whole loving it and love the purple too, it was worth the wait and will make my life and my parents life so much easier. The lifting in and out of car or when using the boot hoist is still a little trail and error but it’s early days and we are all learning. Really looking forward to this giving me the control and extra freedom that my manual chair didn’t
It took me a long time to accept that i needed a wheelchair and was struggling on with crutches and my walking was becoming more limited and was missing out on days out with my family and i love adventures making memories and having fun. I didnt use to wheelchair to start with but my friends and family insit that its really cool its been put through the hill curb grass and stone test and with no problems at all so i gave it a whirl and was much better than i thought and it was comfy too. I did manage to lock it with the remote but a quick call to customer services and we was off again. I got the purple st pro and im sure it will see many adventures. Since my husband got me my chair it’s given me my freedom back to go out and join my family on days out seeing my kids have fun days out are nice again I love the backpack it’s just perfect addition to my chair ty etech I just wish you could make weather proof fleece blankets for the chairs that would be cool
Much better in my opinion than the standard joystick, it was easy to fit and if I want to revert back to the original joystick it’s just a matter of taking the golf-ball off and replacing it with the joystick.
As an electric wheelchair user for many years I thought it was about time I purchased a replacement. I haven’t been very far in it yet but so far it’s fine. What I like most (apart from the colour!) is the battery system, press a button and you pull out the battery, easy! Makes charging a breeze. I will write another review when I’ve been using it for a while.

I bought a chair instead of a scooter due to not having to stretch arms for handles This chair is comfortable, stylish and does what it says. I love that I can go on different terrains as I enjoy walks in the woods and the countryside. Tried it on hills, gravel, grass, tarmac. Only downside is the length of the battery duration, that could be a bit better.

I am *so* excited! I have CRPS in all 4 limbs, degenerative spine & haven't been out much this year due to a setback & suspicion of MS on top of it all. I've been feeling like the depression's creeping back in more & more as I do less & less. BUT then My Etech chair came last week & it is giving me back my freedom!! Last week we've been out a couple of times; to the park & around the block & this is *everything* I could have hoped for and more. Comfortable, secure (I feel safe going up & down kerbs! I never did in my manual chair - Sorry to anyone who's ever pushed me, I love you, but it felt so rickety). I can't stop grinning; after a crappy year, this has cheered me up immensely. Thankyou for giving me independance *IN STYLE*. I love the joystick control; it is so easy to get the hang of (though I've been a gamer for 20 years, so kinda used to them by now!) The horn is a fab addition & I love that there's a help button for those who can't always verbalise for whatever reason; actually can't believe you've thought of pretty much everything! Also; I won't be travelling at the top speed as in this vid regularly, just realised I can't remember what it felt like to run, so tried it at the park. I'll be sensible now! ❤️🩹 thankyou again!

A bit heavy to load into the car but the ramps allow me to do it single handed. Your video showing how to do it helped a lot. The disadvantage of the extra weight is balanced out by the all-terrain capabilities.

I have had this for several months now for our son, who is 16, and has Autism, a learning disability, Severe Sight Impairment, Cerebral Palsy and who is non-speaking. This has changed our lives. My son wouldn't go out sometimes for up to a year. He can walk (not too far and he's unsteady), but he has so many needs and such severe Autism and severe visual impairment that going out causes him a lot of anxiety. We began using this on holiday in June, and he went out twice in it. He loved it so much that now he will go out once per month, and he is so happy when he does. We are slowly building him to more days out, but the security it gives him (not even just about physical mobility) has been absolutely life-changing for our family. We have the reclining one with the remote control, which means we can walk along as a family again. I have suped it up a bit with a go-faster seat cover and a matching umbrella! It really does cope well with all terrains (we do National Trust days with him, which is not all flat ground). Highly recommend. Thank you so much

With your excellent service and help the powerchair was revealed in all it's glory! It is a very smart machine and I was eager to use it. Here is the sad bit. Try as I might I just cannot properly control it. It is not the chair's fault, it is mine. I simply find it impossible to keep at any steady speed or in a straight line. My condition means i have frequent nervous spasms and the chair does not like me. Very sadly I need to return it. I believe I need to inform you of this no later than next Tuesday (11th). Your advice please, we are both in our eighties and registered disabled. When the chair was delivered the box was damaged on the base which makes me reluctant to put the powerchair back in. Ðo we have to this (to fulfil your returns requrements, or is there an alternative that will fulfil your reqyirements? We will do all we can to help. Sorry the sale has not worked out but nnothing of this points at Etech. Hopefully we can be more successful with a future product. Kindest Regards, Derek Morton (Reverend).

The battery takes a while to fully charge and holds the charge very well giving the milage it is stated to give. End of last August 2025 my chair arrived we charged it up and it has been used almost every day. The batteries almost a year old now still works fabulous like it did when the chair arrived.
I received my chair 22nd August 2025 and yes I know almost a year ago but this length of time using it I feel I can give a better review. I honestly have to say I find the chair very comfortable when using it and have only found one terrain I can't cross which is sand, other than that this chair 'Freedom Elite ST' has got me out and a about on a daily basis, from taking my dog for a walk round the park, going in the woods and through fields, doing my shopping, etc.. Also weekends away I don't have to worrying about the battery dying as my Fiance bought 2 and they hold the charge very well and I get plenty of milage from them and can still say the same almost a year later. I absolutely love my chair and am so reliant on it so for me this really is a thumbs up 👍 👍 and we feel the ££'s payed for it was 💯% worth it.
After a few dissapointments.. I've been waiting for this chair for a few months now, but it was out of stock. I had originally wanted a purple one, or even a pink one.. However, now I have the chair, I am so pleased with it, it really doesn't matter! It's so easy to use, so comfortable & folds up really neat & small.. It's just a tad on the heavy side.. they say its lightweight. But even with the batteries out, & wheels off.. its still a bit heavy.. we are both disabled & find it a tad heavy for us. However we have now purchased ramps, and looking forward to finding it easier to put into the car! The chair itself, we have no complaints! It's amazing! If you're hesitating about getting one, don't think about it anymore, just do it! You'll not regret it.. we certainly don't! ♥️

We were.... sorry I was investigating a mobility powerchair for my arthritic wife. Settled on the Freedom st. She had apprehension on her being able and confident to use. Well it's been a week from purchase, we did purchase an extra 12ah battery to allow longer between charging & giving.the range on hills that we had experience with today. We have used the chair through this week ....getting used to it in a couple of shops, hospital visit, park with the dogs 2 mile across grass walk & today Swanage town carnival 4 miles uphill down hill cobbled pavement and a grassed arena I am impressed with the chairs sturdiness ease of use and battery charge, so far only just dropped to 60%. I'm still getting used to the collapse for in out of car, it's easy just a knackered....I'll get it. To summarise it seems a quality powerchair & it's going where ever we want no problems. My wife has commented on the comfort for 6 hours today. We did add a cold bag to the rear for cold water and such necessities....no agro's. I praise it to say if your in this market I recommend it. My wife is gaining confidence & best of all her freedom back. Thanks Etech mobility.

I went out today with my adult children and my granddaughter. I previously would have passed because I'd have slowed them done or had to repeatedly stop to rest. Today they were having to keep up with me 😁. It handled everything in its way and even when I thought it wouldn't get me into certain places, it did. Love it thank you, you've given me a new life .
