It was a little hard to set up initially. There should be clearer instructions (had to connect the joystick plate with a connecting wire from the battery point. This was not very clear and to a newbie it wasn’t easy to grapple with. Once up and running I took it for a spin around the living room. Very nippy! I’ve now been out and about a dozen times. Mostly from unloading and loading it into car boot. It’s heavy for sure but I knew that when buying. I wanted a more robust powerchair. This is definitely that. It’s a great looking chair too. The little mesh side pockets are too small for anything meaningful, so I’ve purchased an arm bag for both sides. For card, keys and phone. It feels more secure. The automatic opening and closing is a great plus point. Although the pressing of the folding button and the minus button should indicate the chair lowering but it’s the opposite which still does my head in. Then the plus button feels like it should open the chair out but it lowers it! Very strange - is there a reason? I would recommend anyone new to a powerchair to practise. The camber on a pavement can be bloody lethal. I’ve nearly ended up in the road, due to bad pavements rather than my driving (?). Although I’m gonna do more practising on that issue. I’ve just purchased the golfball to replace the joystick as I find the joystick ‘too’ responsive. I’ve read many reviews stating the golf ball has a better feel. Let’s hope so. I would dearly love to drive this powerchair from my house into town but I live at the top of a steep hill so unfortunately that’s out. Getting in and out of car boot is a bit tricky too. But me amd my husband are getting use to it. I was thinking about getting the planks that go in boot lip to the floor so you can drive the chair down but at the moment it seems such a pain to do that. But when we get another car we will invest in an electric lift system. Overall, I’m glad I got this one but I would say to try and get to a local disability aid centre where you can try out different types to see which one suits you. Whether it’s lighter? Or more robust? Have a good hard think about how you will use the chair. Then you can get the best deal for you. Remembering servicing or parts. Can you do locally or if you’re ok with fitting parts yourself? My etech has been good so far, and I would recommend it. Perhaps not as a first powerchair? .

What can I say it’s great!!! Love the colour. Very speedy machine, used the highest speed for a couple of seconds. I would highly recommend one of these. You do not need to be a wizkid to use it.

I have a self folding Elite pro and decided to buy this and although only had a few weeks there is noticeable advances in the Elite Pro AF automatic folding wheelchair although the obvious is the automatic folding there are several other advanced such as solid rear and front tyres saves worry of punctures. It’s also very smooth on the surfaces inside and out the chair also has adjustable foot rest for more comfort and the batteries ( second naught separately at additional cost) the are very easy to remove when chair is folded also feels more responsive when using, turning etc. time will tell if it’s longevity as I use a wheelchair daily. It’s also good to use if travelling as it folds like a pram and batteries are suitable for flying

Bought this to get about as recently had a brain abscess which has left me with brain damage and can hardly use my left leg. I bought the long range batteries as being on the heavier side I was worried that the smaller batteries would not have a good range. No problem with range now only problem I am still working on is actually using the joystick. I am finding it's not as easy as it looks with other people. I am 62 and watch far older people than me using it perfectly. Just going to take time. Overall well pleased, I wouldn't swop it for the world. Exactly what I was looking for so thank you. Bought online any queries I had instant up and the person I spoke to gave me great information and helped me over the phone with the order process. Thank you!

I love the wheelchair and how easy it is to fold and unfold and get on and off. I do find the joystick extremely sensitive and it will take a bit of getting used to (I’ve already scratched woodwork trying to get through door in our house - which are wide). I have a few suggestions (not complaints). 1 - I’ve just changed from a mobility scooter with mirrors and I miss the mirrors badly - I have tried the kind that cyclists strap to their wrist and they’re as much use as a fa.t in a spacesuit, SO how about a mirror to fit on the arm? 2 - near my house I have to negotiate a kerb which does not have a dropped area. The chair will go down but not up and I’ve had to buy rubber ramps and carry them with me and my wife positions them for me. This means I can’t go out on my own as I can’t do that. I think bigger wheels on the front would help greatly. Otherwise I think it’s great 👍

Oh WOW! I love this powerchair. I love how it “transforms” itself but also my life. I had previously been reliant on a mobility scooter but my joint pain was massively made worse using that. I knew the time had come to swap to a power chair and this has been a game changer for me. I love the seatbelt and will almost always have this round me as it makes me feel secure. I have added some pillows to the front part so that my swollen legs don’t get bumped around when travelling and my husband has made me a slot over bigger footplate so that my left leg that doesn’t move can feel supported. Just everything though about the chair has made me so happy. I’m still scared when on narrow pavements because of the cambers so will try to avoid those. It’s just amazing though. 🤩

Compared with the wheelchair from another supplier the back is more upright and rigid which was the problem with reclining chair which lacked sufficient support even when fully upright. A bit bumpy on crossing roads even with low kerbs as non inflated tyres.

still getting use to it but getting myself independence back as now able too venture out of house independently. I wish I had bought one earlier after leaving hospital in July 2024 instead of been struggling with a manual wheelchair. Love the way you can go over uneven pavements and tree routes on paths a real bonus with this chair. Having longer forearms i do have an issue with the armrests being a bit short and i extended the hand control to the maximum but still find that the hand gets cramp so I have to stop periodically to sort this out. I don’t know whether they’re there are options for longer arms on the website. Also, I haven’t longer leg from their hip to the knee and find that the seat is a slightly shorter for my legs but don’t know whether there is a longer on that can be fitted. Would love to know if this is possible I only need a couple of inches in length. Even with the issues I am having the wheelchair and the performance is fantastic and we recommend others to look on your website and recommend buying one as find that they are the best around and I’d love the way they electronically fold up themselves.

It did everything you said it would, grass, medium gravel, top trek paths, and tarmac, slopes and still stay comfortable. My daughter and hubby played with the remote whist I ate my icecream on the go(they loved it ) Just need my hoist now and then I'm good to go off without them.

I’ve used Etech before and the service is 2nd to none. I had to change my original chair as my disability was making it hard for me to manually fold the chair so I elected for the automatic fold and what a god send it is. Took my chair to Harrogate Flower Show yesterday for my first trip out and it performed very well including some rough long grass we had to park in because blue badge parking was oversubscribed. Still learning the finer elements of control but easy to use. Only problem when it first arrived is that the manual was out of date and the instructions for folding/unfolding were wrong. We had to ring to find out why it wasn’t working. Staff member put us right but I consider it a bit of an oversight on your part that the manual had not been amended. Otherwise great product.

Chair is ok goes in back door and goes in my wavcar lm getting used to it but the step goes under the cushion and i have difficulty getting it down is there possibley. ,a smaller step most steps are about 2inch under seat if there is one i am willing to pay

Second chair from this company after first one was damaged in a rta. Not at all disappointed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the chair or the company...first class. Only had the second chair a week or so but first impressions are that it is as robust as the first. I'm a big guy but this chair carries me with ease. Tried it out at the children's playground when my grandchild needed help on the swing and manoeuvred over uneven bark with ease. Early days but has my vote

Made an error on the last review - as this is for the wheelchair the other was for the quality seat etc. on saying that the comments are about the same - HIGH quality items that are made with the best materials and perfect for anyone who finds themselves in need of mobility equipment. I've been a scooter user for many years and am still a learner with my wheelchair but am certainly getting there. So far, I have been round a country park, and travelled about a mile on rough pavements to a garden centre for a coffee. I am now loving my purple chair with purple cushions. The garden centre was a dream, no more 3 point turns to get around the place, and so easy to sit up to the table for coffee. Tomorrow I am off shopping with my best friend, can't wait! I'm getting my life back. Thank you Etech, you were patient, friendly and professional.

So happy with the chair - it is so comfortable compared to my NHS attendant propelled chair, I can't quote believe how good this is over different pavement surfaces in comparison. As others have said, the very responsive joystick is taking some practice but improving all the time. There are horrible cambers and kerbs on slopes to get out of my drive and road, so definitely a baptism of fire- the videos available on etech are a huge help with that. Overall, really delighted with my chair. I won't tell you what we pretend the 'AF' means - but it is a great feature if you need it.

Bought this chair for my partner as it seemed to tick more boxes than her scooter. It made it easier to get into and around shops etc. The automatic folding function has been a godsend and it easily fits in the back of the car with the parcel shelf removed. The controls are a little sensitive but as with all things, this is a bit of a learning curve and she'll get it with time and experience. It copes with drop curbs and slopes well and the battery lasts a long time. There were a couple of technical issues with the chair but this was replaced quickly and have nothing but praise for the team at Etech for their fast support, professional approach and friendliness. They go the extra mile to help!

Great looking, comfy electric wheelchair. The auto fold mechanism is a God-send, no bending or lifting needed. Will give me so much more independence. The only thing is that the steering/joystick is incredibly sensitive, so it will take a bit of practice before I'd feel safe outdoors with it! Fantastic customer service whilst I was making my decision and a friendly and helpful delivery man.
