This is the second chair we've bought from Etech.
The first was for me, and I was so delighted with it, we bought one for my husband.
We are both ambulant but with difficulties. These power chairs now allow us to go out and about together.
Our first trip out together was a two hour 'walk' with our dog in our local nature reserve which we haven't been able to do together for many years. It was wonderful. We were even able to maneuver easily through the kissing gates!
I asked my husband if he thought it was worth the money we paid. He said, 'it was worth it for just for this walk alone'.
My first off road trip!
It worked so well, tackling tree roots and rocks.

I love this chair, my previous chair was not very responsive and tended to slide on cambers and gravel, despite being sold as all terrain. I have no such problem with the Freedom Elite ST. It takes no effort to change direction. The only thing that I didn’t realise immediately, is that the front suspension is fastened down. So the ride was quite hard. Once I realised and adjusted it, the ride is much smoother. I would totally recommend this power chair for affordability, style and comfort.
I won a Freedom Pro and paid a bit extra to upgrade to a Freedom Elite for the brushless motor. I love that it came in purple! It was delivered the day after ordering and it was very easy to set up as it basically just needed to be unfolded and charged. All the wires were set up and were even tied to the chair to make sure they were in place. It comes with a remote, a mesh zipper bag under each arm rest, as well as tools for maintenance and a flashlight/USB attachment. I got the standard battery which is airline safe and it easily slides in and out. The chair is really comfortable and very easy to manoeuvre! Bumps are no problem.
I’ve had my new freedom elite ST for a week and have used it three times so far, one short trip and two longer ones. Still getting use to it’s manoeuvrability as it’s a little different to one I’ve used before but on the whole loving it and love the purple too, it was worth the wait and will make my life and my parents life so much easier. The lifting in and out of car or when using the boot hoist is still a little trail and error but it’s early days and we are all learning.
Really looking forward to this giving me the control and extra freedom that my manual chair didn’t
I received my chair 22nd August 2025 and yes I know almost a year ago but this length of time using it I feel I can give a better review.
I honestly have to say I find the chair very comfortable when using it and have only found one terrain I can't cross which is sand, other than that this chair 'Freedom Elite ST' has got me out and a about on a daily basis, from taking my dog for a walk round the park, going in the woods and through fields, doing my shopping, etc..
Also weekends away I don't have to worrying about the battery dying as my Fiance bought 2 and they hold the charge very well and I get plenty of milage from them and can still say the same almost a year later.
I absolutely love my chair and am so reliant on it so for me this really is a thumbs up 👍 👍 and we feel the ££'s payed for it was 💯% worth it.
Takes a bit of getting used to especially on uneven pavements with cambers, the dolly wheels have a mind of their own but with practice it becomes a lot easier.
Motors make a distinct whine but not too bad and soon ignore.
Enhanced battery was out of stock when ordered and still waiting for it to arrive
Generally pleased with the wheelchair, the controller is a bit too sensitive making careful manoeuvring a bit tricking. It works well on gravel and grass and uneven surfaces.
Yes it’s a lot of money let’s be honest but is it worth it? Absolutely! Easy to use comfortable and you can literally pop it in any car boot! My son is disabled and this is perfect because I can use the remote control keeping him safe. Having this wheelchair will be a new lease of life in the summer holidays and better than anything on the nhs unfortunately.
Very happy with the chair so far, still getting used to it at slow speed, not quite such a smooth ride, I think probably more user error than chair! Hoist brilliantly into the car, which was the most important thing for me.
Very pleased with the Wheelchair, it was very easy and quick to get it working once unpacked. It seems simple to operate and more comfortable than the scooter that my wife has been using. The most impressive thing was the after sales service, we had a problem with the wheelchair (would not move/drive) a quick call to Etech support and they emailed me all the info to try and resolve the problem but still I could not get it working. I had to call them again and they could not apologise more and said they would send a replacement and arrange collection of the faulty one. The replacement arrived in less than 24 hours of me making the call, very impressed and this one worked fine. This is a company that cares about it's customers we are very pleased with the Wheelchair and the exceptional service and will be recommending Etech to all our friends.
This chair has transformed my life and given me a new sense of freedom. I am going places that I couldn't go before. I have been able to; go through woods, visit a graveyard that has gravel paths, go up dirt tracks and across a park with grass that is 3 to 5 inch's in length. It is fantastic for using in an airport, giving me my freedom and independence back. I highly recommend this chair!!

I ordered it in purple 💜 as its my favourite colour and I think it amazing they have so many colour ways as a mobility aid is an extension if who you are.
Customer service has been great from start to finish. There was a slight delay in delivery as it was on preorder. I really needed for the beginning of September for our trip and they kept me up to date to let me know when they were expecting it. I was ecstatic when I got a call to say it was in stock and it would be with me the next day! By 9.30 am the next day it arrived and I took it out in the afternoon and it was easy to get to grips with. It came with the standard airline friendly battery 🔋 but we decided we needed an extra one just for peace of mind that it would last a full day in the park. I would say on a single battery charge I got 9 miles out of it which is really good! I also ordered the purple leather upholstery to go on the seat and it makes it so comfortable and doesn't make you sweat like my other manual chair. I also ordered the basket and chair cover for storage.
For my first electric chair i am absolutely in love with it. It's changed my life. It was so easy to use on our trip. Made my holiday feel that extra special and made things so much easier. Definitely more than 5 stars from me 🌟✨️

Absolutely love this chair, and was delighted that they started to do this model in blue. The chair is comfortable and handles different surfaces with ease. It is too heavy for me to lift, but my husband does that. It is too heavy for my daughter to lift and too big for her car, but we are looking to get a slightly smaller and lighter model for when I am with her. However, this is not a problem as I am happy to have different chairs for different types of trip. It has given me my freedom and independance back, as I no longer need to be pushed everywhere. I can now go to places with my family and our dog that I have not been to for a long while. Thankyou so much.
I love this wheelchair, it enables me to go on family walks with our dog. The chair copes well with up hill sections and track trails. The battery life is very good and I love the red upholstery which is easy to clean and comfortable.
Great aftercare when I needed help with the instructions by email to do it independently my end for the joystick language and controller, Sef was able to send me two videos to physically show me the steps which helped me overcome my difficulties. It's a great wheelchair, exactly as described, empowering
We ordered the power chair with ease. I contacted a very helpful guy who handled my questions with fast and a straight forward reply. The chair arrived very quickly and was quickly put to use affording my daughter the freedom she has lost for a wee while. I also had to send a text question regarding tyre pressures on a bank holiday but got a reply almost immediately so again well done Many thanks.
We loved that you answered all our questions & queries very promptly, this certainly helped us decide to purchase from Etech Motion. I love this electric wheelchair ♿️. It looks sleek and good to look at . Hand control can be fitted on the left or right side which is good, comfortable to sit on , This the charge on the battery lasts well. Love the fact it folds up really easy although it's a lightweight chair my wife found it difficult to lift it by herself , but have since bought ramps and in the process of getting used to these but using the remote control to help get the chair up the ramps so hopefully this helps in the long term. Very good price and sturdy frame. This has made a difference to my life and independence and i do not get out of breath or exhausted as much now. Wish we had bought sooner.!

My wife has been out a couple of times, and I was surprised by how easily she adapted to the chair, especially when I changed it to a golf-ball control.
For me, it is very easy to fold and unfold, and for lifting the wheelchair into the car, I manage okay.
I’ve been looking for a foldable electric wheelchair and I was always drawn to ETech mobility as the wheelchairs offered everything that I required. As a wheelchair user, I wanted to regain some independence when going out and about as opposed to being pushed around on a manual wheelchair. The advisors were extremely informative and so helpful in finding the most suitable wheelchair for me. I used it today for the first time and I can honestly say it was the most fun I’ve had in a while on a wheelchair. It is very comfortable and zippy while being extremely stable. The arm rests are very comfortable and allowed me to have a very comfortable resting position and the battery life so far has been great – it hasn’t even gone down a single point after using it for a few hours. The seatbelt is so secure and makes sure I feel safe at all times. I have the Freedom Elite ST model and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a foldable electric wheelchair. The whole process was so seamless and I am so glad I chose ETech mobility!

Early days but very easy to use and well built. I like the fact that I can use it as a walker on free wheel if I want to walk. I have used it on fairly rough terrain with no problems. It does need two to lift in the car, although my husband manages it easily on his own with the batteries out. The brushless motors are quiet and quite powerful on the higher settings. Very pleased so far.
Arrived promptly. Some slight cosmetic damage in transit but Etech were quick to offer an appropriate discount or replacement part when they were altered.
It's a great chair at a great price and has opened up many opportunities. Easy to drive, fold and charge.
From when we arrived at your showroom there was no pressure salesman we were taken out on the wheelchair everything explained,how to fold and lift it tried it out to see if it fitted in car boot. we paid for upgraded batteries that was out of stock so it was provided with normal batteries so we could use it and told as soon as the upgrades were available they would be posted to us and others picked up was promised delivery of wheelchair in three days but it turned up next morning fantastic service and so far a great chair thank you we will recommend your company to anybody

From the moment I made an enquiry every staff member I had contact with was so kind and engaging. The staff at Etech are so knowledgeable, relaxed and reassuring that I instantly felt comfortable. When I was unable to make my Birmingham Showroom visit, they were very understanding and gently followed up and I welcomed this, nothing was too much trouble. I adore my beautiful Freedom Elite wheelchair, I have named her Florence :) and she is MAGIC. Flo is my first ever powerchair and I am a relatively new ambulatory user. Today was my third use of her and I finally felt confident and she feels like an extension of me... which is what I hoped for. She feels so solid, comfy and can tackle my local broken pavements with absolute ease and steers like a dream. I can't wait to take her properly to my sea front and to the local woods, one day to the west coast of Scotland (something I wasn't sure I'd be able to do again)... suddenly everything feels possible and that is the most amazing thing.
