The E Tech Freedom Elite ST wheelchair is a fantastic electric wheelchair that handily stores folded. I ordered it on a Thursday (with a sale price) and unbelievably it was here the very next day on Friday morning! Minimal assembly was required of charging and installing the battery along with the joystick controller and that was it ready to use. It manages far more than my old mobility scooter ever did (including this corner on the video where I used to have to dangerously take the road route) let alone the underpass farther up the road where I used to have to slalom with the scooter but the E Tech wheelchair goes straight up and down without problems!
This phenomenal wheelchair has taken me further and better than anything ever before and really opened my independence. From Doctors visits, to shopping trips and even getting on the bus where my scooter was prohibited without a permit it simply breezes along. (Much further range than my scooter ever did carrying my 6ft 1in 18st frame a total of 12 miles which is three times further than my old scooter!)
Comfortable, easy to control with appropriate power setting and it is looks much better than slouched over a tiller bar thanks to the joystick control. The remote control option is handy too!
Thank you to all at E Tech, this chair has changed my life and at a price that simply can't be beaten. Highly recommended and look forward to buying another battery too for those longer days out.
I’ve taken Beryl out for a few short spins now. I live in a road with lots of dropped kerbs, curves and cambers. I am still getting my confidence up tackling these. When I got out on the high street, it was plain-sailing and rather exciting to be able to get about without having to feel every single step! Beryl has opened up so many opportunities. I love that she is purple; allowing my personality to shine beyond my disability 💕
The Wide-Seat Electric Wheelchair Powerchair Freedom Elite ST has changed my life and made it easier for me to get about. It is fantastic and easy to use. It got me thinking I’m 35 and should’ve got something like this years ago, it has given me my freedom back :).
I recently got my electric chair. I love it. It’s fast enough. Goes over bumps etc easily. I was able to buy a second battery, so both connect together at the same time, giving me loads of mileage. It is comfortable. The add-ons are cheap also. Highly recommended. The staff member at the Birmingham branch was amazing. Very helpful and friendly.
I am so pleased with this chair. It is comfortable and sturdy. It is too heavy for me to manage but my husband is able to lift it in and out of the car. It had been lovely to be able to have some freedom again. The people at the shop have been very kind and helpful, answering my many question patiently. I recommend them and this chair.
It’s been great going further into our local abbey grounds & admiring the gardens etc. Before it was as if life had stopped due to immobility. Very liberating & safe.
Great chair used on a large field car boot and it handled the ground easy. Folds instantly for storage ,and very comfortable. The delivery was next working day. Staff great. My partner wants one now.

Chair is great, easy to use and set up and means I can go out without being in extreme pain and actually enjoy myself has given me freedom to go out more often and actually live rather than being stuck on the couch ! Battery life is good too and chair is super comfy and love the purple colour.
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. I booked a viewing and told them what ideally was looking for. When I arrived they had exactly what I was looking for plus a few extras. Test drove it outside then collected from the new premises ten mins later. I’ve since used it a few times and it’s perfect. Plus a great team and everyone friendly 👍

This company deserve to succeed. The customer service is outstandingly good. So helpful in every respect. One item was missing from my order, and it was delivered the next day, tracked and signed for. The chair is excellent, and half the price of the local mobility shop. I have ordered a lightweight manual chair also, as I am so impressed.
Since having my wheelchair I got my freedom back, it has made my life so easy now. I am so glad I got this one, I love the fact that we can remove the joystick to make sure that it wont be damaged on any travel time we do, and ready fir when I want to ride along on it.
Excellent service, from making an appointment to delivery. The young man who told us all about the chair was very patient. He answered all our questions , and was very knowledgeable. An excellent member of staff. Unfortunately due to illness and weather conditions I’ve not been outside with the chair. I can see my grandson wanting to fit mirrors and air horns to it, just like his tractor.
Our whole experience has been positive. I chose the wider seat Elite with winter coats in mind & it’s certainly comfortable. I found the back a little further away than I would normally prefer but I use a spare pressure cushion there and it’s the perfect size.
There’s plenty of oomph even at the lowest speed, a little disappointing that the speed is controlled by the power setting rather than the joystick feathering. I’ve not tried higher than 2nd power level until I am confident I can control it well enough not to run toes over! But I’m sure practice will make perfect, just unfortunate I’ve not had sufficient opportunity yet.
First run out the chair seemed harder to control than the one I tried at the showroom so I ordered the golfball control, I’ve not yet had opportunity to try that yet.
The after sales service has been excellent, well done chaps it’s really reassuring to know there’s back up of & when needed.
I have been a wheelchair user since 2000,so I am used to daily use. The batteries are easy to charge and put on/ take off chair. Delighted they can be charged off the chair. The joystick is very sensitive,so I am getting used to that slowly,as it is very different from my old chair. I have found the seat very low and consequently my arm for using the joystick,is in the wrong position. I have added an additional cushion,which is helpful. The chair is a good width. Think I prefer my old foot plates,but being able to adjust the footplate,is a good idea.
I wanted a folding chair,as I can put it in the boot of a car,when asked out by friends. Also if I need to use a taxi,there is more scope. Generally I am happy,but need to use it for outside use,before I can say if I am happy with the joystick. It is useful to be able to remove the joystick.
Very noisy motors and struggles to go up hills, think I should perhaps have bought the pro with 700w combined motors not 600w but didn’t realise the ‘elite’ is less powerful than the ‘pro’ my fault.
Lovely wheelchair, very reasonably priced. Light enough for me to lift all in one go. My old boot scooter has multiple pieces that are each as heavy as the whole of this wheelchair. And now there’s actually space left in the boot of my car. Takes some getting used to using a joystick to steer but I’m slowly getting there.
First time dealing with e-tech. My husband Bob suffered a stroke earlier in the year and has no mobility, so we thought it would be a great idea to get an electric lightweight folding W/C. E-tech products came out tops. From visiting their Glasgow showroom and being welcomed by Jethro who was so professional the way he dealt with Bob explaining the controls etc and having a trial. to receiving his new chair 3 days later was 1st class service. We would definitely recommend e-tech.
Great service and a much better price than comparable chairs. Still getting the hang of it as the joystick is very different. Gives me much more freedom and it handles bumps and inclines much better than previously hired scooters.
Now that I have had this over 2 months and been to whitby UK with the cobbles I can now give an honest review!

Wow got to say the most comfortable and easy to use powerchair ever. I previously had a scooter so was unsure of how I would get on and WOW it is amazing. The batteries are easy to remove and charge. I can get it in and out of the car easier and takes up like a quarter of the space my scooter did.
I cannot rave enough about this product. I have suggested it to all my powerchair users and even scooter uses too. Its amazing. I have freedom, comfort and its excellent!
I have both the regular battery and the longer range battery and wow. If I hadn't have been using it everyday I wouldn't have needed to charge it everyday. I cannot thank you enough for giving me so much freedom!
Very easy to assemble. I wish the back could be made a bit more upright and wasn’t so high. It’s comfy to use but the footplate sticks out quite a bit so it’s not great when trying to reach things or turning. Rattles a lot when moving and the front castors steer you off like a shopping trolley making negotiating narrow doorways tricky as it’s hard to keep straight. Controls are easy to use and the collapse function is simple. A very solid chair. Lovely colour.
