I was finding it more and more difficult to lift my power chair out of my boot on my own as my mobility get worse so decided to get a lift it really works well makes things so much easier once you have figured out what is the best way for you to use it depending on o what you have a power chair or scooter or even a bag of something that you need to lift maybe a spare wheel out of the boot very handy to have it takes a few goes to figure out what is the best way to load your device also its very compact and light to lift I strap it up against my chair in the boot so it doesn't move around.

Really useful item to help lift the chair in and out of the car boot for anyone trying to do this alone as the wheelchair itself is still weighty and ideally needs a two person lift but when that’s not possible the boot hoist is brilliant. I’m the wheelchair user however and wouldn’t be able to do this myself with or without hoist due to my ability and strength or lack of on both fronts!

Very easy to use and is saving my back from fast deterioration by lifting the motorised wheelchair in and out of the car. I've been complimented on it and I have passed on Etech's details so they could get one of their own. The only question I have is apart from it stopping to work when the battery runs out, how do I tell the battery is running out? Otherwise I love this so much and it alongside the wheelchair has made my life so much easier. Definitely recommend!

I am looking forward to trying the hoist, but we have not tried it just yet as on arriving at our destination I managed to lift the fold up scooter out and on return to the car a couple offered to lift the scooter back in and would not be put off. As soon as I have used the hoist, I will let you have my thoughts.

Are you are questioning if you should get this then dont hesitate! ok its not cheap but without this I would only be able to take my wheelchair out in the car if someone was with me due to its weight, the lift can manage upto 50kg and makes light work of raising it to boot level. The engineering in this piece of kit is outstanding and looks like it will last many years as it is so well made. It folds down very neatly weighing only 12kg making it small and easy enough to fit in behind the car seat. The bonus is if you need to move something within its weight limit around the house you can put it on this and just push it where its needed, moves flawlessly on tiles and carpet.

I haven't even had the opportunity to properly use the mobile hoist I purchased due to ill health, yet Etech Mobility seems far more interested in collecting reviews than looking after its customers. In the space of a couple of weeks I've received at least seven emails asking me to review my purchase. I unsubscribed from these requests, but they continued regardless. I then emailed the company asking for the emails to stop, explaining that I hadn't been well enough to use the product and therefore couldn't leave a fair review. Instead of acknowledging or responding to my email, they simply carried on sending more review requests. Ironically, their relentless pursuit of reviews has created a far worse impression than the product itself. A company should respect a customer's decision to unsubscribe and respond when concerns are raised, not ignore them and continue sending automated emails. I cannot comment on the quality of the hoist at this stage because I haven't had a fair opportunity to use it. However, based on my experience of their after-sales communication and disregard for customer preferences, I cannot recommend this company. If Etech Mobility resolves this issue and demonstrates that it values customer feedback beyond simply collecting positive reviews, I will happily reconsider this review. Until then, I feel it's important that prospective customers know how my concerns have been handled.

No more struggling to get my scooter out of the boot of my car. Just raise hoist to boot level , drag it on and lower to the ground. It took longer to write this note than it does to get my scooter out of the car.
started of with a 7 foot ramp but it was troublesome in a car park (sticks out too far) and you could not use it if parked parallel to curb. The hoist takes away all of these problems. It is fairly light weight to be lifted into car.
I found it almost as difficult to get the wheelchair into the boot using the Portable Car Boot Hoist by Etech Mobility as it was to lift it in. Seemed not to be worth the trouble.
