Is the Sentinel road-legal?

Yes. It is a Class 3 mobility scooter, so it can be used on the road at up to 8mph and on pavements at up to 4mph. In the UK, Class 3 scooters must be registered with the DVLA (this is free), and the user must be 14 or over.

What is the maximum user weight?

240 kg (37 stone), the highest capacity in our new range.

How comfortable is the seat?

The fully adjustable captain's seat rotates 360 degrees, slides, reclines and has adjustable armrest height, with a padded headrest for all-day comfort.

What batteries does it use?

Two 24V 20Ah lead-acid batteries, giving a range of up to around 20 miles. A full charge takes around 8 to 10 hours.

Can it handle hills and rough ground?

Yes, within reason. It climbs gradients up to 15° (27%), and its big 12-inch wheels handle pavements, roads and light off-road comfortably.

Does it fold for transport?

No. The Sentinel is a substantial heavy-duty scooter weighing around 105kg and is not designed to fold. It is built for comfort and range rather than portability.

Every Etech Mobility product includes a 12-month manufacturer warranty, so you can enjoy reliable performance and peace of mind. If you ever need support, our friendly UK team is on hand to help with quick, personal, and human support.

We also offer a 14-day change-of-mind period to make sure your product is the right fit for you. Should you wish to return it, we’ll guide you through the process and can arrange collection if needed. £120 collection charge (£150 for islands), or return it yourself free of charge. Please keep the original packaging.
